“Mac” McWhorter Runs Up the Score

Through the first half of 1943, several changes were incorporated to most Pacific theater
combat aircraft camouflaging. It started with the Tri-Color scheme that added Non-
Specular Sea Blue as a top view coat over the earlier camouflage. The national insignia
added rectangular bars with an initial red surround that only lasted several months when
