when Nick walks in

on Adam about to tell

Christian that he’s the

boy’s father. Once

Christian is led out of the

room by his babysitter,

Nick rips into his brother

for attempting to spill the

paternity beans. “Adam

knows that he has a knack

for triggering Nick’s tem-

per,” says Head Writer

Josh Griffith. “Adam uses

this to his advantage, so

Nick loses his cool and

puts himself in a vulner-

able position. Adam’s

agenda is to be awarded

custody of Christian, but

he’s more than happy to

upset Nick in the process.”

Adam crosses the line

when he vows that once

he’s ultimately given cus-

tody, he won’t allow Nick

anywhere near Christian,

and his former dad will be

a forgotten memory. Nick

then punches Adam in the

face — twice. A horrified

Sharon suddenly appears

and comes between the

brothers. “Adam believes

there is no question that

he should have custody

of Christian,” points out

Griffith. “He’s not look-

ing for sympathy from

Sharon but he knows that

her support will help his

case. There is also a part of

Adam that takes satisfac-

tion in upsetting the bond

between Nick and Sharon.”

After Adam refuses to

seek medical attention,

Sharon escorts him home,

where she tends to his

bloodied face. Despite

being in love with other

people, it isn’t long before

Sharon and Adam’s old

chemistry begins to bubble

up again. “Sharon cares

very much about Rey but

her complicated history

and attraction to Adam is

something that is very dif-

ficult for her to ignore,”

Griffith notes. “Adam’s

relationships with Chelsea

and Sharon are very dif-

ferent. He cares about both

women very deeply and

his feelings for one don’t

minimize his feelings for

the other. Sharon, outside

of Chelsea, is the one per-

son who can see the good

in Adam and give him the

benefit of the doubt.”

The exes soon hit the

sheets and make love.

When the afterglow wears

off, expect their actions to

affect many lives. “Sharon

is walking a fine line in

the battle between Nick

and Adam, and any deci-

sion she makes will have

consequences,” Griffith

hints. “And now, an explo-

sive chain of events has

begun.”
