should leave the divorce for another day.”
LOOMING TRIAL
As their next court date, scheduled for
Oct. 2, approaches, Lori and Mossimo are
bracing themselves for the worst. “The
federal prosecutors want to make an ex-
ample of them,” says the insider, noting
that the feds have a ton of evidence against
them. A judge on the case was even said to
be shocked by the scope of incriminating
details of the alleged bribery. With Lori
and Mossimo insisting they “broke rules,
not laws,” the source says prosecutors are
out for blood — or at least some serious
prison time. “Prosecutors are sick of their
arrogance,” says the insider, “and will
come down on them hard.”
Prosecutors are even planning on hav-
ing the couple’s daughter Olivia testify
against them. The influencer — who’s
said to be “disgusted” by her parents’ ac-
tions — angrily moved out of Lori andWHAT DOES

It depends on who you ask. According to some
people in Olivia Jade’s inner circle, the vlogger
— who had to publicly apologize after bragging
on her YouTube channel that she hated school
and was only at USC for the boys and the par-
ties — knew her parents had pulled strings but
wasn’t aware they’d gone to illegal lengths. “Her
parents talked freely around her,” says a source.
“She knew they’d called in some favors, but she
thought it was a common thing for people with
money to do.” Lori and Mossimo allegedly paid
$500,000 to pass off Olivia (and her sister Isa-
bella) off as recruits for the USC crew team, even
though neither had participated in the sport. But
other friends claim Olivia was clueless. “They
insist she knew nothing about what was going
on,” says the source, “and say she’s the innocent
victim in all of this.” Either way, she’s now in a
powerful position, and if she wants to repair her
ruined rep, she’ll have her day in court. “Olivia
could sing like a canary on the stand,” says the
insider. “She wants to clear her name, even if it’s
at the expense of her parents’ freedom.”Things could get really messy if Lori and
Mossimo split, an insider says — especially
when it comes to money. Mossimo found
success after launching his fashion line,
Mossimo, which he sold in 2006 for a
whopping $135 million; he’s now said to be
worth $80 million. And up until now, Lori’s
worked consistently on shows like Full
House, Spin City and Summerland, racking
up her own small fortune of $20 million.
The wealthy couple’s Bel Air home is also
said to be worth $35 million. But their
finances are already in a downward spiral
as Lori’s career is on hold; they could end
up having to pay roughly $250,000 in fines
related to their criminal case, and lawyer

prosecutors’ crown,” says the
source. “Having your own child
turn against you isn’t a good
look in a courtroom.”
At least Lori and Mossimo
can agree on one thing: They
desperately want Olivia to go
easy on them on the stand (see
box for more on what Olivia
could reveal in court). But it may be an
uphill battle, says the insider. “Olivia is
still humiliated. She feels her future has
been ruined by her parents and is insisting
she’ll never forgive them.” If subpoenaed,
she’ll have no choice but to appear in
court — but what she ultimately reveals
could affect the outcome of the case.
“Lori and Mossimo hope Olivia will
eventually realize she has only one set of
parents,” says the source, “and to be the
smoking gun that sends them to jail is
something she’ll one day regret.” ★
