ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATIONS

ASIA BEY is a Pittsburgh-based multidisciplinary artist. Her

work ranges in tone from somber to absurd, with a focus on

sequence, transition, identity, and abstract narrative. She is a

self-published author and illustrator of comics and other works,

including It’s Dead Actually and the autobiographic series Jaded.

She is also known for her abstract performances and storytelling,

which she has performed nationally in gallery shows and artist

residencies. Asia is the creator and star of GoodTalkGoodFun! w/

Asia!, an absurdist public-access variety talkshow airing this fall.
