Lime green, electric yellow, and hot pink

are just a few of the fluorescent hues

spotted lately on celebs like Katy Perry,

who just added some neon green color

to her famous crop. In August, before

Cardi B went for shocking pink hair,

she debuted a custom aqua blue wig

to match up with her luxurious car. It’s

no secret that Kylie Jenner has made

neon hair happen; from frosty turquoise,

pretty fuchsia to electric green,

Jenner has worn every color and style

imaginable. Who doesn’t want to splash

at a party or any red carpet event with

something interesting and fancy but of

course, bold hues like these are not for

the meek. It's all about standing out and

all the eyes will be on you.

Must know: In order to get bright neon

hair the base has to be very light, even

if someone has naturally very light hair

it will probably need to be pre-bleached

for the colour to stick to it. Once the hair

is lightened beyond the yellow stage,

any neon shade will work. It can damage

your hair beyond repair, so be careful.

You need to maintain your tresses. Make

sure you opt for appropriate colours

The spring/summer 2019 runaways saw several retro trends re-emerge. There were tie-dye cycling shorts and

shoulder padded power suits, but the one eighties trend that there really was no escaping from was neon. The

logic is simple, ‘The brighter, the better’.
