After being trolled mercilessly, Ra-

Soundarya took down pictures she

had posted on social media of her

playing with her son Ved in a swim-

ming pool. “Removed the pictures

shared in good spirit from my travel

diaries considering the sensitivity

around the current water scarcity

we are facing,” she tweeted. “Th e

throwback pictures were to em-

phasise the importance of physical

activities for children from a young

age only. Let’s save water.”

Bijukumar Damodaran, aka Dr Biju, won

the best artistic achievement award at

the 22nd Shanghai International Film

Festival. Th is is Dr Biju’s 10th fi lm. His

previous works have also won several

international awards.

Javed and Farhan Akhtar

recently took to social

media to congratulate

Zoya Akhtar on being

made a member of the

Academy of Motion

Picture Arts and Scienc-

es. Javed called it a “rare

honour”, while Farhan

said that it was well

deserved. “Happy for

you and proud of you,”

he wrote. Th is year, 842

artistes from 59 countries

have been invited to join

the academy. Others

invited from India include

Anupam Kher, Anurag

Kashyap and Ritesh Batra.
