Main picture: ENRICO LOCCI
WOLVES
KEY PLAYERS IN: Patrick Cutrone
(£32m), Raul Jimenez (£30m).
WHAT THEY NEED: Boss Nuno Espirito
Santo has his sights on another quality midfielder.
Making Jimenez’s signing permanent was a big
boost and addition of Cutrone ensures Wolves have
the potential to better seventh place last season.
WHO THEY ARE LIKELY TO GET: Nuno has been
linked with AC Milan’s midfielder Franck Kessie,
22, though terms are understood to be a stumbling
block for the Ivory Coast international.

WEST HAM
KEY PLAYERS IN: Sebastien Haller
(£40m), Pablo Fornals (£24m).
WHAT THEY NEED: Full-backs and a
defensive midfielder. They had issues with the
reliability of their full-backs and did not address
that. They also look light on defensive players in
the engine room.
WHO THEY ARE LIKELY TO GET: Money is tight
and it’s unlikely anyone else is coming. The club
have looked at free agents and potential loans but
would have to be a bargain-buy now.

WATFORD
KEY PLAYERS IN: Craig Dawson (£5.5m).
WHAT THEY NEED: A summer of
rare stability at the FA Cup runners-
up – with Javi Gracia staying on as
manager – could be spoilt if ex-Hornets boss Marco
Silva takes Abdoulaye Doucoure to Everton.
WHO THEY ARE LIKELY TO GET: Talks are ongoing
over Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr. Brazilian
forward Joao Pedro will arrive from Fluminense
in January, while Watford have also made a
£2.2m bid for Chateauroux striker Haissem Hassan.

TOTTENHAM
KEY PLAYERS IN: Tanguy Ndombele
(£65m).
WHAT THEY NEED: A left-back to allow
Danny Rose to leave. A right-back to
replace Atletico Madrid signing Kieran
Trippier and, potentially Barcelona’s Philippe
Coutinho if midfielder Christian Eriksen moves on.
WHO THEY ARE LIKELY TO GET: Talks continue
with Fulham for Ryan Sessegnon. Spurs also want
Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes or fellow
midfielder Giovani Lo Celso of Real Betis.

SOUTHAMPTON
KEY PLAYERS IN: Danny Ings (£20m),
Che Adams (£15m), Moussa Djenepo
(£14m).
WHAT THEY NEED: Ralph Hassenhuttl
re-energised Saints in December and they have
added pace and width to their attack this summer.
WHO THEY ARE LIKELY TO GET: With owner Gao
Jisheng now employing a ‘sell to buy’ policy, there
is not much more money to play with. Offloading
Mario Lemina, Charlie Austin and Guido Carrillo
would allow room for additional strengthening.

SHEFFIELD UNITED
KEY PLAYERS IN: Ollie McBurnie
(£17.2m), Callum Robinson (£7m), Phil
Jagielka (free), Ravel Morrison (free).
WHAT THEY NEED: The Blades have
spent well this summer but are still looking to add
guile to the midfield. The stand-off with Mark Duffy
increases the need to strengthen in that area.
WHO THEY ARE LIKELY TO GET: United do not have
much left in the kitty and may decide to keep their
powder dry until the New Year when the promoted
club will have a better idea of their prospects.

MANCHESTER CITY

KEY PLAYERS IN: Rodri (£62m), Joao
Cancelo (£28m plus Danilo), Angelino
(£5m).
WHAT THEY NEED: With Nicolas Otamendi staying
and Fernandinho likely to fill in at centre-half this
season now Rodri has arrived, nothing much. But
they need to resolve the Leroy Sane situation.
Bayern Munich are keen and the player is open to
moving back to the Bundesliga but the German
club are unwilling to meet City’s £135m valuation.

WHO THEY ARE LIKELY TO GET: No one else.

MANCHESTER UNITED
KEY PLAYERS IN: Harry Maguire (£80m),
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£45m), Daniel
James (£15m).
WHAT THEY NEED: Resolution to Paul Pogba and
Romelu Lukaku’s situations with both Real Madrid
and Inter Milan seemingly short of the needed cash.
WHO THEY ARE LIKELY TO GET: United are looking
into the possibility of bringing Spurs’ Christian
Eriksen through the door at the last minute. They
could resurrect interest in Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
from Lazio if Pogba’s departure goes through.

NEWCASTLE
KEY PLAYERS IN: Joelinton (£40m),
Allan Saint-Maximin (£17m).
WHAT THEY NEED: Many fans say they
still need strikers to having lost Salomon Rondon
and Ayoze Perez, despite boss Steve Bruce bringing
in forwards Joelinton and Saint-Maximin.
WHO THEY ARE LIKELY TO GET: Newcastle have
been linked with a host of defenders including
Derby’s Jayden Bogle, 19. But it could come down
to a straight choice between Paris Saint-Germain’s
Moussa Sissako, 18, and Bordeaux’s Youssouf Sabaly.

NORWICH
KEY PLAYERS IN: Sam Byram
(£750,000).
WHO THEY NEED: More Premier League
experience. They have asked about
Danny Drinkwater and Nathaniel Chalobah.
WHO THEY ARE LIKELY TO GET: Norwich are
talking to Sheffield Wednesday about a permanent
deal for Jordan Rhodes, who scored nine goals
on loan last season. They have also been linked
with Seville centre-back Joris Gnagnon and a
loan deal for defensive midfielder Ibrahim Amadou.

Everton says new boy Kean

season. Kean could have been
playing with
Cristiano
Ronaldo at
Juve again
but has
instead
opted to
help Marco
Silva’s side
climb the
league.
He said: “I
have always had to
take big responsibility
because of my age.
“I hope we can
achieve a lot but I don’t
know at the moment because I
cannot see the future.
“It is part of the ambition of
any player to help bring his
team to the Champions
League.
“The Champions League is
fascinating and exciting.
What I want is to bring
Everton into the
Champions League.”

beautiful because racism is
horrendous and we have to fight
against it. I’m going to repay the
fans for all they do for me.
“It makes me even more
motivated to repay them and I
am going to give 100 per cent on
the pitch.”
Kean admires compatriot Mario
Balotelli and Sweden superstar
Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“There are a lot of very good and
strong strikers,” he said. “I like
Balotelli very much, for what he
does on the pitch, and there are
other strong strikers like
Ibrahimovic.”
Kean is regarded as one of the
most promising young forwards in
Europe, so it was a surprise that
Juventus sanctioned his sale.
The Serie A giants will have first
refusal if Everton ever decide to
sell.
There were also raised eyebrows
that the two-time Serie A winner
quit a club ready to compete for
the Champions League to join a
side that is not even in Europe this

MOISE KEAN says he did not quit
Juventus for Everton because of
the racist taunts he received in a
game against Cagliari in April.
The teenage striker responded by
holding his arms aloft after scoring
Juve’s second goal in a 2-0 win
before suffering more verbal abuse.
“There is no connection,” Kean
said of his £25million move. “I like
Everton and I like the Premier
League. This is why I am here.”
Leonardo Bonucci, his former
team-mate, claimed the Italy
forward “could have done it
differently” and “the blame
is 50-50”.
But the 19-year-old Kean said: “I
didn’t pay attention to that
comment. I was concentrating on
playing to the best of my ability so
I could repay Juventus for the
support they gave me.
“I spoke with him later and he
apologised. He told me he was
wrong and that he didn’t know
what he was talking about.”
Everton fans have raised funds
for a banner welcoming Kean to
Goodison Park and backing him in
his fight against racism.
The supporters are planning to
show it off before the home game
against Sheffield United on
September 21. Kean said: “It’s
