The endangered
eastern quoll once
ranged across much of
south-eastern
Australia and up to
northern NSW. The
last members of the
mainland population
died out in about 1963,
but these quolls
remain in Tasmania, mainly in the eastern
part of the state. This little lovely was photo-
graphed by Sean Crane at the Bonorong
Wildlife Sanctuary near Hobart. See page 66.
