FOUNDATION PIECING
1a. Trace foundation pattern given full
size on Pattern Sheet sixteen times onto
foundation paper.
b. Cut out each pattern on outer seam
allowance line.
2a. Take one, 7½" Pink Peach Bloom
square and place it right side up on
unmarked side of pattern ensuring it

covers all of patch1 plus seam allowance
on all sides.
b. Pin in place, illust 1a.
c. Turn pattern over to marked side and
fold it down towards you along the line
between patches 1 and 2. Trim excess
fabric leaving ¼" seam allowance, illust. 1b.
3a. Open out pattern again and turn over
to unmarked side. Place one, 3½" x 10"
Teal Fruit Silhouette rectangle right sides
together with Pink Peach Bloom fabric,
illust. 1c.
b. Holding fabrics together along seam
line, flip rectangle over to check it will
cover all of patch 2 plus seam allowance.
When happy that it does, place it back
right sides together with patch 1 fabric and
pin in place if wished.
c. Turn pattern over to marked side and
using shorter stitch length than usual,
stitch along line between patches 1 and 2,
illust. 1d.
d. Start and stop stitching a few stitches
beyond each end of line.
e. Open out and press.
4a. Add a second 3½" x 10" Teal Fruit
Silhouette rectangle to cover patch 3 in
similar manner.
b. Press unit and trim excess fabric, illust. 1e.
