make total of six, Pinwheel blocks.
ASSEMBLY
1a. Take three, Pinwheel blocks and
join them together in a row.
b. Join remaining Pinwheel blocks
together in similar manner.
- Join one strip of Pinwheel blocks
to each end of 6½" x 15½" Daffodil
Bloom rectangle.
3a. Take one, pieced square strip made
earlier and join this to top edge of
Pinwheel/rectangle strip.
b. Add second strip to bottom edge.
4a. Take six, 2½" x 3½" rectangles
cut from assorted prints and join
rectangles together to make pieced
strip.
b. Join to one end of quilt row.
c. Make second strip in same way with
remaining 2½" x 3½" rectangles and
add to opposite end of quilt row.APPLIQUÉ
1a. Trace HOME letters given full size
on Pattern Sheet onto tracing paper.
b. Turn tracing over and redraw over
lines with marker pen.
2a. Trace reversed letters onto paper
side of fusible web.
b. Cut out roughly.
3a. Following manufacturer’s
instructions iron fusible web lettering
onto wrong side of Peanut Sol.
b. Carefully cut out on lines.
4a. Position letters so they are
centred on Daffodil Bloom rectangle
at centre of quilt row.
b. When happy with their positions,
fuse letters in place.
5a. Trace heart template given full
size on Pattern Sheet twice onto
paper side of fusible web and cut
out roughly.
b. Iron fusible web hearts onto
wrong side of Cherry Vee and then
cut out carefully on lines.
c. Position hearts on quilt row and
fuse in place.- Appliqué letters and hearts using
buttonhole or zigzag stitch, illust. 3.
