WATERCOLOUR SPIRALS
Just thought I would send you a photo of my
version of the Watercolour Spiral quilt. I made it
for my sister and partner for Christmas and as you
can see the colour scheme was blues and white. I
also had to make it slightly bigger so instead of 4 x
4 squares it ended up being 5 x 5 squares.
Hopefully she likes it and she is not just being nice.
Marion Stothert, by email

Marion how could she not love it? It’s beautiful. The
pattern by our very own Joanna Kent was really
popular (August 2018, issue 295). Perfect for homes
today that like something a little more modern.

A GREAT DAY OUT!
Many thanks for the tickets I recently won. My
daughter-in-law and I had a great day out at the
Craft4Crafters show in Shepton Mallet. I had
forgotten entering the competition so it was a
lovely surprise to open the envelope and fi nd the
tickets inside.

I’m so glad you enjoyed the show. It’s one I haven’t
been to yet but will make it one day. You can get
so much inspiration from the displays and traders.
Thanks for letting us know you had a great day.

MAD ABOUT HEXIES
Hi, I've been making hexagons of diff erent sizes for a few years now.
I've made a friend a small double bed quilt with 2" hexagons and I've
made this lap quilt for myself with 1^1 ⁄ 2 " hexies. I'm making a purple
coff ee table cloth at the moment.
I still sit of an evening making hexies and just fi ll a bag up then, when
I have enough and nothing else to do, I will make something else.
Diana Wood, by email.

Such a brilliant way to use up scraps too Diana. I love the gentle
mindfulness of hand sewing and English Paper Pieced hexies are one of
the most traditional shapes still loved by us all! Thanks for sharing.
