half-million people to the downtown Traverse

City waterfront to salute and scarf down plenty

of our region's beloved fruit. Highlights include

cherry pie-eating and pit-spitting contests, a

giant country-fair style midway, three stellar

parades, a Cherry Queen pageant, fireworks

and a dynamo lineup of entertainment.
