After weeks of secret schedules and organized
chaos, our team got to spend some time with
the six members of K-pop group VAV to
create a surprise photoshoot for their fans.
It makes them the first South Korean
group to have a full-fledged shoot in India.
VAV also spoke to us about the pressure of
representing their country, their expectations
of India and plans for the future.
The group kicked off their tour on May 31st
in New Delhi, followed by a show on June
2nd in Imphal. In addition to performing
some of their biggest hits like 2019’s “Thrilla
Killa,” their 2018 breakout hit “Senorita”
and “Spotlight,” VAV got the crowd pumped
up with energetic covers of Luis Fonsi’s
“Despacito” and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.”
They also surprised their Indian fans with
a short and sweet performance of “Pehla
Nasha” from the 1992 Bollywood film Jo
Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. The show ended with
a lot of tears, both from VAV and their fans,
and a promise that the band will return
