TURN OFF
CHANNELS
Open the start image and
duplicate the background
layer twice (Cmd/Ctrl+J).
Go to the Layers panel
and double-click the top
layer to open the Layer
Styles box. In Advanced
Blending, uncheck the R
channel box and click OK.
Next, double-click the
middle layer and uncheck
the G box.

SKEW THE
COLORS
Highlight the middle layer
and grab the Move tool.
Press the left arrow key
on your keyboard a few
times to nudge the layer
over to the left. Highlight
the middle layer and
nudge it over to the right
to skew the colors. Press
Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Alt+E to
merge all the layers into
a new layer.

DISTORT
WITH FILTERS
Right-click the newly
merged layer and choose
Convert to Smart Object,
then go to Filter > Distort



Wave. Experiment with
the settings to distort
the image. We set the
following: Number
of Generators, 5;
Wavelength, 10-120;
Amplitude, 5-35; and
Scale, 100%.
