inspiring one and has made me want to

add to the basics in my terrace garden. The

vibrant frames of The Lives Aquatic were

absolutely stunning to see, and reading

about how cricket is working towards

becoming sustainable and eco-friendly was

quite impressive too (Future Innings).

And, for me, it is impossible to choose

favourites from an issue as wholesome as

this. Kudos to Verve for bringing together

such a fabulous issue once again!

Welcome Changes

It is rather sad that we are digging our

own graves in the name of modernisation

without realising that we are preparing a

recipe of slow poison for our future. The

silver lining is that there are still people

amidst us who are trying to protect

nature through their continued eff orts.

It is heartening to know that there is a

holistic thinker like Gaytri Bhatia (Live & Let

Live) who has put natural gi… s above man-

made fakes. Her initiative with Vrindavan

Farm would defi nitely stir the conscience

of many.

It is also a healthy sign that people from

diff erent walks of life are giving respect

to the environment through their fi elds.

If BiŠ u Sahgal (Ma ers of the Earth) has

taken the path of journalism to carry out

his responsibility, DiŠ y (Girl On An Island)

is doing the same through her music, and

Santha KV, Arunkumar HG and Bapi Das

(World Views), through their art. Their tools

may be diff erent, but they are all working

on the same sculpture called environment.

Kudos to Amrita Kaur (Herbal

Essentials) and Arshiya Bose (Brew The

Right Thing) who are infusing new life

into healthy living through traditional

practices. A fi nal round of applause goes

to Arati Kumar-Rao for the photo feature

Great Explorations through which she

depicted the astonishing beauty of the

earth that we so badly need to preserve.
