women, supporting women in the
arts, however we are pleased to
announce that we invited artists
from both the U.S. and Canada
once again,” says Hockaday
Museum executive director Tracy
Johnson. “Being a border state
with Canada, Montana has great
friendships with our northern
neighbors and that is also true in
the art world. Many of us on both
sides of the border share in the
wonder and amazement of the
Crown of the Continent region
and Glacier National Park. This
year’s A Timeless Legacy honors
that friendship once again and
promotes women artists painting
our landscapes, cultures and
wildlife, both in plein air and in
the studio.”
The 2019 exhibition runs
August 13 through September 21,
and the fundraising sale event will
be held on August 10 from 6 to 9
p.m. Tickets to the sale are $25
for museum members and $35 for
A Timeless Legacy: Women Artists of Glacier National Park non-members.
