Cucumber Margarita
Makes 4 servings

With the addition of fresh cucumber and cilantro,
this margarita gets an extra punch of fl avor and
fun that makes it even harder to resist.

½ cucumber, diced
4 ounces fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2 sprigs fresh cilantro
Pinch kosher salt
8 ounces silver tequila

Garnish: lime wedge, kosher salt, lengthwise-
sliced cucumber, cilantro


  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine cucumber, lime
    juice, sugar, cilantro, and salt. Let stand for
    5 minutes. Muddle mixture, and press through
    a fi ne-mesh strainer, reserving liquid; rinse
    cocktail shaker.

  2. Return liquid to shaker; add tequila and ice.
    Cover and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.

  3. Moisten rims of 4 chilled rocks glasses with
    a lime wedge. Dip rims in salt, if desired. Fill
    with ice. Strain cocktail into prepared glasses.
    Garnish with cucumber and cilantro, if desired.


PRO TIP
If you like a little spice, muddle
a few slices of jalapeño with the
