HIGHLIGHTS

ORANGE IS THE

NEW BLACK

SEASON 7

The ladies of Litchfield will return to
screens for a seventh and final
season of Orange is the New Black.
In Season 6 of the hit prison drama,
Piper – played by Taylor Schilling
– was finally released from behind
bars and is adjusting to normal life
on the outside, while still trying
to keep her jailbird romance with
Alex  (Laura Prepon) alive. Other
storylines left as cliffhangers at the
end of Season 6 include Daya’s
(Dascha Polanco) drug addiction
and Lorna (Yael Stone) going into
labour. But will it get better for the
ladies in orange? Here’s hoping all
the character arcs are tied into neat
little bows. As Regina Spektor’s
opening song says: “Remember all
their faces, remember all their voices”.

MURDER, LIES & ALIBIS

MON., 9.15PM
ON NINE

Channel Nine’s new crime
documentary series Murder,
Lies & Alibis will return with
The Bank Job, dissecting one of
Australia’s most intriguing bank
heists. The cutting-edge series
this week will focus on the 1984

Sydney bank robbery and
hostage crisis, which saw a man
take 11 people captive in a
Commonwealth Bank on George
Street. It was described as
Australia’s “most dramatic
hostage chase”.

Fans of Veronica Mars haven’t
had a taste of the detective
drama series for years. The
highly anticipated reboot of the
show will see Kristen Bell
return as Veronica, an amateur
detective. It continues on from
the 2014 movie and the three

TV seasons. When it first aired
in 2004, the show followed
teenager Veronica as she tried
to solve the murder of her best
friend Lilly. The eight-episode
revival will cast an entirely new
light on the characters, who
are now well into adulthood.
