ianca always dreamt
of having a big family −
especially after losing her
dad in a car accident when
she was 15 years old. Her husband,
Justyn, is one of five children, so
there’s no wonder the couple’s dream
was to have a big family of their
own. But little did they know when
they got married, this dream might
never become a reality for them.

Hopeful beginning
“After our honeymoon, I decided to
come off the pill, which I was on for
14 years. Everything was regular and
perfect. All my checks came back fine
− I was healthy. So we decided to try

Justyn had been together for nine years
at that point, and were ready to start a
family. They wanted four or five kids.
“I didn’t have a period, so during
the first three or four months of trying
I kept thinking I was pregnant. I took
pregnancy tests, but they kept showing
a negative result. Eventually, after a
year of trying to conceive, my mom
told me to see someone and I made
an appointment with my gynae. He
said everything was normal and
recommended I just relax, but we
still weren’t able to fall pregnant.

I WAS

PREGNANT,

BUT I DIDN’T

KNOW!
