MOMS, WHICH “MOM CHORE” WOULD YOU
FOREVER OUTSOURCE IF YOU COULD?
“Housework. I would
rather spend the time
with my kids. I’m taking
a break right now from
cleaning house.”
San-Marie Jolliffe

“Laundry. I’m standing
here looking at my front
loader, thinking it will
magically transform
into a robot. Laundry for

family of six is no joke!”
Nichole Francis Bowers

“Dishes and laundry. They
never seem to end.”
Maveshni Reddy

“Cooking! Trying to
figure out what to
make for dinner every
day drives me nuts.”
Ilande Bezuidenhout

“Not loving every
moment of motherhood
doesn’t mean I don’t
love being a mom.”

during his first moments in
the world. That you would
know his signals and his
cries better than I did. I
didn’t know how intertwined
our lives would become.
But I know you now and
I’ll never be able to think
of my child’s life without
thinking of you. I know now
that you are so different
from other nurses. I know
that, at times, you are
assigned to just one baby
for 12 hours straight. I’ve
seen you sit by my baby’s
bedside for your entire
shift, working tirelessly
to get him comfortable
and stable − even when it
meant forgoing your own
breaks. I know you now and
I’ll never be able to give in
return what you have given

me. Thank you for your skill,
you are the best at what you
do. Thank you for fighting
for my baby. Thank you for
walking us to the car on the
day we were discharged.

Our story can never be told
without mentioning you.
You are appreciated
beyond measure. I know you,
and I will never forget you.
