I love these artist-quality prints on watercolor paper created
by Mississippi artist Dominique Jordan. The beautiful artwork
was inspired by Medieval “Illuminated Manuscripts” found in
Bibles and other books of the time period, usually created by
monks who worked as scribes. The Uncial-style calligraphy is
done in ink, and the border artwork is watercolor. Three texts
are currently available: “Come Unto Me,” 8.5” x 11” for $45; “I
Was Glad,” 17” x 8” for $50; and “It is Well,” 11” x 14” for $50.
Jordan also takes commissions for custom originals. Contact

6 large eggs
3 cups cake flour
1 tablespoon pure vanilla
This is my sister-in-law Rita’s and my daughter Beth’s
favorite pound cake. There are several versions of this
cake, but this is the recipe that my mother always pre-
pared. It has a sweet, creamy, and smooth texture with
a perfect light crust. It is delicious with fresh berries
and sweetened whipped cream or lightly browned
with a little butter for breakfast with coffee or tea. I
hope you enjoy this cake as much as my family does.
