I’m an American expat living
in The Netherlands. My studio
is located in the heart of a tiny
Dutch city named Breda and is a
stone’s throw away from a gothic
church that stands 97 metres tall
and was completed in 1547.
My studio has a direct view of the
church that is situated right in the
city centre. I have been working
out of my studio for four years now,
working with brands such as IBM
and Xbox.
My computer setup is pretty
simple these days. I have a

Thunderbolt monitor and a second
vertical monitor that I use with a
MacBook, since I’m now a hybrid
product designer and UX engineer
frequently bouncing between
code and design [1]. In addition to
the technical hardware, you can’t
forget quality speakers (MiniPod
BT) when you spend most of your
day behind a computer.
This Mario statue was one of the
first collectibles I purchased when
I moved to The Netherlands in 2014
[2]. As an avid gamer, having it
sitting next to me is a no-brainer.

I spend a month each year
living, snowboarding and working
remotely in Japan and I’ve had this
bag for about three years now [3]. I
just love the simplicity of it.
After my second knee surgery
this year, it feels good to be able
to come home with a trophy after
having a few years of bad luck [4].
I keep this on my desk as a way to
show how hard work pays off even
after breaking your hip.
Lastly I like to keep things in
my studio that remind me of my
character. That’s gaming toys and
skateboards [5]. When I’m not
riding down some of the world’s
biggest mountains, you can find me
surfing the concrete jungle.
