Mari updates the look of her house
regularly. “My entire home is one
large project,” she says. Recently she
paired a crisp, cool white with light
grey to achieve an elegant entryway.
She then used the same colours to
create chequerboard flooring. “I first
painted the whole floor white and then
I created a template to paint the grey
squares,” she explains. “The tricky part
was not the painting, but figuring out
