“I personally have to shoulder much of the responsibility. This has led to
controversies.... I offer my most sincere apology to the people,” Hong Kong’s
chief executive CARRIE LAM after millions protested an extradition law.

Break From
The Scare
If you doubt a ‘horror
comedy’ will act as a div-
ersion to the ample talents
of Sunny Leone, you
should consider her, in the
best traditions of horror,
as a foil to the bone-chill-
ing suspense. That, along
with her using a local UP
dialect, will make Koko
kola a perfect draw. For
now, learning a language is
occupying Sunny full-
time. She doesn’t need to
work on her acting, see?

Kindest Aspect
The latest belle to rap at the
doors of Bollywood is actress
Shubra Aiyappa, who plies her
trade in the south. Look at her, and
you wouldn’t take much convincing
to believe that she’s a fitness fanatic.
Acting, she says with the air of a
sav ant, is not “the kin dest career”,
but delivers “unma t c hed satisfac-
tion”. She’s “honing her craft”, she
says. A worthy avocation, we opine.

To Her Credit
Does the Miss India competition
still function as an assembly line
for Bollywood hopefuls? It would
do to ask rec
Rao, 20, from Mumbai, about her ently-crowned Suman
future plans. Modelling and dance
are usual pet passions, but as a CA
student, she can well tweak the
double entry system!
