Finally I added the relections on the wet road and pavement. Wetting the area irst, I quickly applied the same colours used for the sky, buildings,
traic and igures. Working on a vertical board to encourage the washes to run down, it was important to keep the mixes rich enough to deine
forms while maintaining soft edges. While all was still wet, the highlights and wheel marks on the road were lifted out with a damp brush

A dramatic viewpoint with challenging
perspective, the rain created a wonderful
variety of greys and edges from horizon to
foreground
