THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTTINGHAM
The University of Nottingham Malaysia
Campus (UNMC), which opened in
September 2000, was the first British
University to set up a campus both
outside of the UK and in Malaysia – a feat
which earned them the Queen’s Award for
Enterprise in 2001 and the Queen’s Award
for Industry in 2006. The self-contained
campus in Semenyih nurtures and
educates students while also cultivating
an international reputation for world-
changing research in all their campuses.
The University of Nottingham was rated
eighth for research power in the Research
Excellence Framework and, in a testament
to its outstanding reputation, received
nearly RM12 million in research funding
back in 2014.

Curtin Malaysia is the education and

The University of Southampton is one of

only 18 UK universities to be ranked in the

100 World University Rankings of 2017 and

were invited by the Malaysian Ministry

of Higher Education to establish a branch

campus within the EduCity Development

in Iskandar, Johor which offers premier

undergraduate degrees in engineering.

The University of Southampton’s

engineering disciplines are also highly

ranked in the UK and around the world

in rankings such as the Guardian

University Guide and The Complete

University Guide. Apart from a stellar

engineering programme, Southampton
