The dining room takes a warmer turn with a
terra-cotta, avian-print wallpaper that lends a
candlelit glow to the space. Kendall selected the
vibrant antique china that sets a regal table. “I
found the china in an antiques store and loved
that it pulled together all the colors of the house,”
she says. A classic pedestal dining table and
comfortable upholstered chairs create the ideal
setting for sophisticated entertaining. Antiques
bring their impeccable pedigree to the mix with
a server at the window and a chest providing the
sheen of old wood.
Kendall and Wills gutted the kitchen and
added new parquet floors, wood beams, cabinetry,
and a fireplace. Instead of the usual island,
Kendall opted for a table that not only provides
caterers space to serve food but also serves as
the wife’s command post for checking emails and
organizing family life. “She sits at the table all the
