though the soft color palette of creams, light blues,
muted greens, and shades of white give the home
a more modern, open, and airy feel. “I wanted a
timeless aesthetic, so I stayed away from doing
anything too dramatic or trendy,” Anne says. The
trendiest features in the home could, perhaps, be
found in the kitchen, with its top-of-the-line
appliances, Calacatta gold marble countertops,
and custom cabinetry; but with the amount of
entertaining the couple does, their need for the best

parties as well as large gatherings, the Altizers also
enjoy having just a few friends over to watch the
game or have a drink. “We want people to be
comfortable and have fun here,” says Anne.
“That shows in the design.” And as host to these
frequent gatherings, the home is sure to collect
many more stories in the years to come—and
perhaps gain a few more quirks along the way.
