Give your home a lift with
this season’s crisp new neutral...
Mint is a naturally uplifting
colour that will instantly
freshen up your décor,
whether you are using it
across walls and furnishings,
or simply as an accent. In a
room filled with natural light
it will look especially fresh
and airy. Mint complements
so many other tones that you
could think of it as a neutral,
using it as a backdrop, or
for key pieces of upholstery,
such as sofas, curtains and
head boards. Just remember
to pick a dark or warm colour
to ground the scheme, whether it’s a warm wood flooring,
or black and charcoal-grey furniture. Metallic accents are a
beautiful touch too, but opt for warm tones such as brass,
copper or gold, to add richness. For a harmonious scheme,
choose to layer mint with different shades of green, such as
sage or emerald; blue hues with complementary tones, or add
bright pops of colour for something more daring –magenta,
coral, orange and red all work well. Sandy neutrals will create
a calm scheme, while combining it with other pastels makes
it a great choice too. The possibilities are endless.
