Eat
All hotels have in-house
restaurants that serve
vegetarian and non-
vegetarian food. There is no
pure vegetarian eatery. A few
Maggi points housed in shacks
serve eggs, noodles, and
tea. A tawa roti and stuffed
paratha cost at least ₹10/15
and ₹40/45 respectively.
A ten-rupee Maggi when
merely boiled costs ₹70 at the
eatery at Tower 10. Auli is an
expensive place. Bring enough
cash as there are no A.T.Ms.

Sleep / Stay
Accommodations are not
abundant. A room price varies
from ₹1,500 to ₹ 8,000 per
person on European Plan (EP)
basis excluding taxes. The
fewer hotels overlook snowy
peaks of Great Himalayas.
Auli offers two types of
accommodations: homestay,
hotel, or lodge rooms and
tents. Both government
and private properties

offer rooms. The first three
establishments at the main ski
slopes charge premium rates
for the proximity and grand
views. Even tents cost very
high at the slopes. The tariff
falls as you move away from
the slopes and the lifts. The
rent is still aimed at mid-end
and high-end tourists.
The tariff peaks during main
skiing season, late December
to March. The hotels offer
discounts for longer stays, say
five days, and during non-
peak season. The discounts
may range from 10-20%.
Hotel staff anticipates tips.
Auli Skiing Village provides
a variety of rooms, including
deluxe, dormitory, economy,
family, semi deluxe, super
deluxe, and studio.
Most of the hotels offer online
and phone booking options.
Some hotels seek full tariff in
advance while others want a
part only, say one day tariff.
