The bus starts from Dehradun Hill

Depot near railway station for this long

journey. You can book the ticket online

even without logging into the official

website of the corporation. The bus

stops for breakfast, lunch, and tea as

per the convenience of the driver and

conductor. These pit stops may or may

not have more than basic Indian food,

dal-roti or dal-chawal. However, you

will easily find potato chips and the

similar ready to eat savories. Only one

public bus plies along this route daily.

The travel time depends on the road

conditions and the traffic.

non-vegetarian. North Indian food

dominates most of the menus featuring

unlimited set meals and / or à la carte

dishes. Many dhabas and in-house

restaurants serve delicious nutritious

meals at affordable prices by local

standards. You can have basic North

Indian breakfast, one or two stuffed

parathas with curds or dal and pickles,

for ₹50-100 per person at a dhaba.

Joshimath has a wide range of

accommodation choices costing less

than ₹1,000 to 12,000 or even more.

During May-September, the peak

pilgrimage season, the rush is more.

Both camps and traditional hotels are in

demand. Reserve a room in advance as

per your budget and travel dates. All the

enterprises may not operate during the

off-season.

The big and rich market of Joshimath

sells a variety of goods and services,

including hardware, mobile sim and

recharge, stationery, vegetables, fruits,

and the like. A few travel agencies and

tour operators are located within the

bazaar.

negative impact on the mileage.

seats. The complex also has bathrooms

and changing rooms. Bathroom fee: ₹ 7

per person, per usage. Toilet fee: ₹5 per

person, per usage.
