This great room, designed by award-winning
design firm Diane Durocher Interiors, was
featured in the Designer Showhouse of
NJ in Saddle River. The inspiration for the
palette and design was the spectacular large
bay windows that overlooked the homes
property. The organic palette of sand, fern,
and brown is punctuated with peacock blue
and compliments the beautiful exterior view
with the changing of the season from summer
to fall. Because these windows were so very
impactful, the designer decided to continue
the scenic view with a custom mural on the
rooms’ only full wall and a contemporary
autumn landscape oil painting above the
fireplace. The result allowed visitors to feel
wrapped in the organic serenity of the season.
