$100 WINNING LETTER

adversity, work hard and fulfil
your dreams. She talks of
the importance of balance
and a strong support network,
but at the heart of her success
is her own strength and
determination. Congratulations
Katrina and the rest of the
Silver Ferns on making us
very proud.
S Goodall, Wellington

Katrina’s brave fight
I really enjoyed your article
about Katrina Rore’s comeback
after her disappointing
Commonwealth Games
last year. She has shown real
tenacity when she could have
given up and started a whole
new chapter. Her mental
aptitude and fighting spirit
allowed her to overcome her
disappointments and win not
just the ANZ Premiership with
the Central Pulse but gold at
the Netball World
Cup where she
was a standout
player. Too often,
our young people
lack resilience
and give up, and
Katrina has set
an excellent
example on how
to overcome

Double the joy
I received my copy of the
Weekly today and, as usual,
I enjoyed perusing it
immensely. The supreme
moment was the story about
Sam Neill (New Zealand
royalty, in my book), with his
brand-new identical twin
granddaughters, Molly and
Poppy. He looks like he has
just won an Oscar. Why did
it delight me so? I am an
identical twin too – we are in
our 80s, both in good health
and loving life to the full.
Congratulations Sam.
Janet, Tauranga

OurCute Kid wins The
Invincibles (Gecko Press,
RRP$14.99). In this fun read
byPeter Millett and Myles
Lawford, five kids turn up for
footytraining – complete
withsurprise superpowers,
thankstoa lightningstrike!

The writer of our winning letter
wins $100. Our other letter wins
a copy of Danielle Steel’s
new novel Lost and Found
(Macmillan, $34.99), in
which a photographer
embarks on a cross-
country adventure to
reunite with three men
she once loved and let
go. Consumed by old
memories, she seeks the
answer to the question:
What might have been?
As her life comes into
focus, an unexpected
new future takes shape.
