During her divorce to
Tom Cruise, 57, Nicole
revealed that good friend
Hugh Jackman, 50, and his
wife of 23 years, Deborra-Lee
Furness, 63, were “part of my
healing”. Since then, she’s
continued to turn to them for
support, even when it comes
to her marriage to Keith.
“She truly admires Hugh
and Deborra’s relationship and
she wants the same for herself,”
shares the source.
The couple also “went on
a counselling retreat last year,
like a marriage boot camp to
get their marriage back on track.
It helped.”
But sadly it seems the results
didn’t last. While Nicole and Keith
still “attend couples therapy”, says
the insider, their sessions are often
filled with finger-pointing and
uncomfortable silences. And now
friends fear they’re at a crossroads.
“Nicole and Keith have had
trial separations before, but nothing
ever changes once they’re back
together,” claims the insider. And
as the years go by, “it becomes
more and more of a struggle to

Keith also writes lyrics
about their union,
although Nicole admits
she finds it “embarrassing”
when Keith sings about
their sex life. In his song
“Gemini”, he sings, “she’s a
maniac in the bed, but a
brainiac in the head”, which he confirms is about Nicole.
But the award-winning actress isn’t thrilled about it.
“I don’t sensor his art, but it is a little embarrassing,” she
recently shared. But she also gave herself a little credit,
saying, “It’s better than saying, ‘God, I’m so bored. Make
an effort, Nicole!’”
