Bank of Baroda plans EAP
Bank of Baroda
is undertaking an
ambitious employee
assistance program
(EAP) and for the
purpose it is looking for a
competent organization/
service provider. The
organization/ service
provider will be required
to formulate various
solutions towards the areas of work. The program is intended to support the employees
of the bank in their well-being in the workplace and personal life through counselling
by professionals to deal with workplace and personal issues through various channels
of service. The selected organization/ service provider will offer workplace counselling
to provide a sounding board for the employees to talk about issues troubling them
and allowing counsellors to help them find solution to their problems at an identified
place or a medium convenient to the employees 24x7 and provide a specialist view
after listening attentively to employee issues.


RBI developing CIMS
The Reserve Bank of India is proposing to develop a Centralized Information and
Management System (CIMS), covering 3 broad areas - (i) automation of data transmission
from source entities (banks / regulated entities) to the CIMS; (ii) implementation
of end-to-end Hadoop based Data Lake (DL) for data collection, processing and
dissemination which will be sourced from internal systems of RBI, regulated entities,
other regulators, market data from Clearing Corporation of India, various macro-
economic data from various government systems and sites, other agencies, NPCI and
online big data streaming. (All data in the existing DW of RBI and exploratory big
data system will be migrated in the CIMS and all the existing facilities will be provided
in the CIMS along with new functionalities); and (iii) development of a state-of-the-
art analytical system using latest tools for data analytics and visualizations (This will
include Data Science Laboratory, Granular Data Access Laboratory and Sandbox.).
The RBI is looking for a service provider to develop and implement the CIMS, which
will be done in various phases commencing from understanding the bank’s existing
data warehouse, IT systems, providing software solutions and implementation and
customization of the proposed solution. Among the major objectives of the project are:
seamless data collection by building system-to-system interface with various source
systems supporting various formats, data collection/ consumption using APIs, data
collection from internal systems of RBI using database-to-database connection, data
collection using e-mail attachment and screen-based data collections, providing end-
to-end data governance by implementing system driven data validation, data tracking,
data lineage and data review to improve data quality.


Bank of Baroda to have FIM solution
In view of the growing use of information technology and to mitigate the evolving
threat environment, Bank of Baroda is proposing to strengthen information security
and has decided to implement File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) solution. The solution
will be integrated with the bank’s SIEM tool. The bank is looking for an FIM solution
that conforms to industry best practices like PCI-DSS Standard, ISO27001 standards,
regulatory guidelines and the bank’s information security policy. The bank is looking
for a service provider to take up the task of identifying and implementing the solution,
including knowledge transfer to the bank. The service provider is required to perform
a detailed study of the bank’s IT infrastructure and suggest a suitable solution and
integrate it with the SIEM tool and other security tools implemented in the bank.

IT consultant

LIC to have chatbots,
looking for CaaS

LIC of India is proposing to introduce
chatbots to improve its processes and
activities in various operations, including
marketing and customer service. It is looking
at implementing the project on a ‘chatbot
as a service (CaaS) basis and has sought
proposals from firms working in the domain
of artificial intelligence, cognitive learning,
machine learning robotics and other allied
fields for implementation of project. The
firms will be required to showcase existing
solutions pertaining to chatbot deployments
in India in the insurance/financial sector,
demonstrate the benefits of chatbots
proposed by them in the context of LIC’s
operations and propose multiple such
solutions with separate documentation for
each proposed solution.

Andhra Bank is looking for an IT consultant
to offer it overall consultancy services in
handling its various IT infrastructure,
including CBS, data center and DR site,
HRMS, treasury, government business
modules, financial inclusion, credit card
and ATM related applications. Some of
these applications are hosted in virtual
environment and the others are deployed
on physical machines. The bank also has a
comprehensive security setup consisting of
firewalls, HIPS, NIPS, vulnerability manager,
SIEM Solution etc. The consultant would
be required to review the existing systems
and capacity management, understand
the bank’s business objectives and provide
necessary guidance on application and
infrastructure requirements.
