Femina India – July 10, 2019

(Grace) #1
Twice in a row!
Lightning may strike the same place twice but never ever, ever has Femina Men’s Special (an
annual, awaited affair) repeated a cover boy the very next year. Until Ranveer Singh happened to us.
Try ignoring him. The man with the most-est has dominated our mindspace, screen space, and
now even the World Cup field space with his effervescence and genuine people-person attitude. If
we weren’t marvelling at his fairy-tale wedding to megastar Deepika Padukone, we were snapping
our fingers to his Gully Boy rapping skills; he
owned the awards season and was never a casualty
to the ICYMI syndrome—because you can never
miss Mr Singh.
It’s our Men’s Special, so we don’t stop at one.
We go, ‘Men, men, men,’ as we present 10 men
whose talent and muscle we have been witness
to in the last year, and who promise to keep us
engaged in the coming months.
Our beauty feature takes a look at the well-groomed gent, and what it takes for him to go through
the routine. You should get your man to read this and yes, thank us later.
We can’t talk about men and not discuss cricket, right? As we beat Pakistan in the league stage
of ICC World Cup, some of the most hilarious memes popped up on our screens. But what got me
intrigued in the ad-breaks was the next step in cricket—mixed gender matches. They are coming up,
and cricket fan or not, I propose we watch it just to see history in the making. Howzat!
