back,comparedit towhatuserswerepermitting,andfoundthat1,325ofthemwereforking
overspecificuserdatatheyshouldn’thave.Amongthetestpoolwere“popularappsfromall
categories,”accordingtoICSI’sreport.Theresearchersdisclosedtheirfindingstoboththe
FTCandGoogle(receivinga bugbountyfortheirefforts),though the latter stated a fix
would only be coming in the full release of Android Q.
