AC Industrials, the automotive arm of Ayala Group

of Companies, recently launched Maxus in the

Philippines. It introduced its first two commercial

vehicles, the G10 and the V80.

Its 9-seater MPV, the G10, boasts 1.9-liter, Euro-4

compliant diesel engine mated to a 6-speed

automatic transmission that produces a maximum

150 Ps of power at 4,000 rpm and a maximum

torque of 350 Nm at 1,800 to 2,600 rpm. Offering

“max design,” its spacious interior is equipped with

four captain seats in the second and third rows. It

also has a 60:40 split, rear bench seat that tumbles.

For uninterrupted entertainment, there’s the 7-inch

touchscreen multimedia player with USB and

Bluetooth and 6-speaker system as well as a 220-

volt power supply for charging mobile devices.

The 9-seater MPV G10

Ensuring the safety of its passengers, the G10

features double-layer welding technology that

meets European MPV active and passive safety

standards. It has driver, front passenger, and side

airbags, 3-point seat belts for all seats, ISOFIX child

seats, and front and rear parking sensors. The

Maxus G10 is now on sale for PHP 1,680,000.

The V80 multi-purpose van

The versatile V80 is a multipurpose van that comes

in three variants: V80 Comfort, V80 Flex, and V80

Transport.

Taller and roomier than the other units, the V80

Comfort is a 13-seater commercial vehicle ideal

as a family van, school bus, or a shuttle service.

Powered by a 2.5-liter CRDI diesel engine with VGT,

the V80 Comfort has a cargo capacity of up to 1.1

tons. Its safety features include dual front airbags,

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), electronic brake-

force distribution (EBD), universal child safety seat

system, and rear proximity sensors.

For small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the more

powerful and more dependable V80 Flex enhances

logistics services with its spacious cargo capacity of

1.1 tons. Downsizing its seating capacity to three,

it has the same body dimensions, engine, safety

features, and load capacity as the V80 Comfort.

The V80 Transport is an 18-seat passenger vehicle

that retains the engine and safety features of its

older sibling. Ideal as an alternative for shuttle

service businesses, the V80 Transport is more

affordable compared to other vans on its class.

The V80 Comfort has a PHP 1,570,000 price tag,

while the V80 Flex, and V80 Transport retail for PHP

1,190,000 and PHP 1,288,000, respectively.

Maxus has become one of Europe’s most influential

and recognized commercial vehicle brands, and a

leader in the design, production, and distribution

of international commercial vehicles. Currently, it

is the sixth brand partner under the wing of AC
