Yamaha PH riders remain undaunted

in ARRC Leg 2

Toyota Vios racing festival returns to Clark

The UMA Racing Yamaha Philippines team had an
incredible start to the first leg of the Asian Road
Racing Championship (ARRC) held in Thailand.
Representing the Philippines were Kyle Paz and
Masato Fernando.

Fernando, who is a veteran racer, started and ended
the race at the 20th spot. Meanwhile, Paz started
behind an all-Malaysian troop but eventually led the
race from his rivals which secured him the sixth spot.

Due to the crash that resulted in a red flag on the
second round, Fernando and Paz were able to catch
up. Reaching the front on the last two laps of the
race, the Filipino racers were able to steal the spot
from foreign competitors. Championship leader Kyle
Paz led the way with Masato Fernando closing in on
the rest of the leaders. During the final lap, however,
Masato got involved in a multi-rider crash that took
away his chance to secure a spot at the podium.

It was a tough round for them but both have vowed
to claim the victory when they return in the final
round which will be held in Japan.

Paz continues to defend his championship spot and
Fernando seeks to improve his standings from fifth
place.

This Philippine team to the ARRC is also supported
by Racing Boy, Aracer, Proliner ,Youall,
Galfer, Nasty Port Flow, Koso, NGK, RK and Kushitani.
