BATMAN’S 80TH BIRTHDAY AT RESORTS WORLD GENTING
To celebrate Batman’s 80th birthday, Resorts World Genting is hosting
South East Asia’s first Batman anniversary event, presented by DC Comics.
From now to 10 July, fans of the caped crusader can participate in a host
of Batman-themed activities and exhibitions at Resorts World Genting’s
SkyAvenue mall. Don’t be surprise to meet The Dark Knight in person as
there will be meet-and-greet sessions, live shows, and photo opportunities
with a life-size Batman figurine with his Batmobile. Guests can also watch
the world’s first Batman SkySymphony show at Level 1, SkyAvenue. It is
an extravaganza that stimulates audio and visual senses as 1,001 winch
balls transform into various versions of the Bat-Emblem. Simultaneously,
the massive 360° LED screens that surround the area will feature graphics
of Batman from different eras. Children can also participate in the mini
Batmobile race while fans can take part in the cosplay events from 28 to
30 June and 5 to 7 July. For more information. For more information, visit

AIRASIA TO LAUNCH FIRST NONSTOP FLIGHTS
BETWEEN THAILAND AND AUSTRALIA
AirAsia has pounced on the opportunity created by Thai
Airways’ capacity cuts and the suspension of Emirates’
Sydney-Bangkok services. Thai AirAsia X will begin competing
with Thai Airways’ Bangkok-Brisbane route on 25 June when
they launch their own four weekly flights. Depending on the
reception, they could add more Thailand-Australia routes by the
end of the year. Over 800,000 Australians visit Thailand annually,
so this could help solidify the two nations’ touristic relationship
even further. For more information, visit http://www.airasia.com.

MALAYSIA’S HISTORIC CITIES TO BE
CONNECTED BY AIRASIA
Beginning 1 July, AirAsia will be flying from one historical city to
another with its new Penang-Melaka route. Malacca and Penang
are among the most visited places in Peninsular Malaysia by
international and domestic tourists. The direct flight is set to
boost tourist arrivals into Malacca and help support the state
government’s target of attracting 20 million visitors this year. “This
new route further strengthens our tourism footprint in Malaysia,
providing more options for international visitors to travel between
the states of Penang and Malacca,” AirAsia Malaysia Ceo, Riad
Asmat said. Both Malacca city and Penang’s capital city of George
Town have been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, forming
the countries historical centres. For more information, visit
