Drive-thru in Setia Alam
Starbucks opened its first ever Drive-thru with a
Reserve™ bar, at the new Starbucks Reserve™ Setia
Alam Drive-thru. The newly renovated Starbucks store
now accommodates a Reserve bar where customers
can come in to enjoy premium Reserve coffee or
conveniently purchase Starbucks beverages through
the drive-thru window. Created to cater for all coffee-
lovers, Starbucks Reserve™ Setia Alam Drive-thru is the
10th Reserve Store and the 43rd Starbucks Drive-
thru in Malaysia. The new outlet features a drive-thru
window and two bars, a main bar that serves Starbucks
core offerings as well as a Reserve™ coffee bar which
offers seven brewing methods, including pour-over,
Chemex®, coffee press, siphon, Black Eagle espresso,
Clover® and nitro cold brewing.

Following the success of Italian restaurant Gloria, Big Mamma Group is set
to open a second venue in London. The French-based proprietors will be
operating Italian trattoria, Circolo Popolare, in a site close to Oxford Street
beginning June. It is set to be 50 percent larger than the ever-so-crowded
Gloria, serving Italian cuisine inspired by the Sicilian summer. Co-founder
of Big Mamma Group, Victor Lugger, said the new restaurant will feature
a “slightly over the top menu,” including metre-long pizzas, and pastas
served in hollowed-out cheese wheels.

Iconic American fast food chain Five Guys announced in May
that they will open their first Beijing outlet in September.
The former family-run burger joint is set to operate a chain
in Xidan’s Galeries Lafayette mall. It will be Five Guys’ second
outlet in Asia after entering the market through Hong Kong
last November. In more exciting developments, 8 Days, the
same source that broke the news of Shake Shack entering
Singapore, reported that the brand has chosen Singapore
and Malaysia as their next locations! In both 2017 and
2018, Five Guys has topped Harris Poll’s survey of America’s
favourite burger brands, beating the likes of McDonalds,
Burger King, and In-N-Out Burger!
