TAKING THE PLUNGE - KAYAKING IN

PALAWAN
Paddle your way pass Palawan’s stunning natural beauty

Palawan is one of the most pristine remote corners of the Philippines, situated off the northern coast of the
country along the South China Sea. Its combination of sun, sand, sea and wondrous nature is a perfect escape from
the daily rat race. Its stunning landscape is postcard perfect for Instagram hashtags. El Nido is the most popular
destination in Palawan. Blessed with untamed beaches, crystal clear waters, spectacular landscape and vertiginous
towering cliffs, it is no doubt an exotic tourist destination. Kayaking is the best way to experience intimacy with El
Nido’s nature and beautiful seascape. Paddling through the channels surrounded by 200-metre towering limestone
cliffs will leave you speechless. Meanwhile, cruising through tunnels of emerald green lagoons whilst listening to
soothing birdsong mimics a castaway world of Robinson Crusoe. You’ll become a midget surrounded by mammoths
of ancient cliffs. It also offers moments of peace and adrenaline rush all wrapped in one. You get to experience
nature up close and personal. The centre of El Nido is festooned with hundreds of boat tours and kayaking
companies. You can hire one independently or with a guide. The typical tours will take tourists to the Big and Small
Lagoon known for their limestone cliff mazes and emerald green waters and to a few popular beaches. Customised
tours offer kayaking and camping on secluded beaches. The best beaches in El Nido are merely a two- hour paddle
away; Paradise Beach, Pasadongan Cove and Culasa Beach are blessed with dazzling white sands and translucent
blue water. These beaches are uninhabited, making you a world away from the clamouring streets of holiday centres.
