t’s no wonder that Kris Jenner comparisons

immediately pop up when you talk about Dubai-

based powerhouse Suzie Demetri Robertson, whose

palatial Emirates Hills home is like a film set and

resort in one. Immaculately turned out, Suzie has a

multitude of titles – she’s an actor, a model, a wife, a

mother of three, a “momager” and now, she’s

added executive producer to her CV, having

worked on independent film Louder.

British-born Suzie’s passion project, the first film

she’s produced, is a drama directed by Jacques

Brown that seems to mirror her own life: it’s full of

fast cars and fancy locations, showcasing a fabulous

life in the sun.

And there is another point of comparison with

the Kardashian matriarch, who has famously

managed the careers of her daughters Kim,

Kourtney and Khloé and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

The UAE-shot movie, about the emotional struggles

of a self-made millionaire, in which Suzie also co-

stars, serves as a break-out role for her daughter

Shantilly-Rose.

We meet the former beauty queen – who

remains unflustered and cool despite the 50 ̊ heat

on our shoot – at the stunning home she shares

with her husband Mark and their children,

Zachary, 17, Shantilly-Rose, 14, and Savannah, 12,

and four dogs, to talk about the triumphs, trials

and tribulations of becoming a movie mogul...

What brought you to Dubai, Suzie?

“I’ve been living here for 16 years now. It feels like

home; the children were born here or have lived

here since they were born and this is where I fit in

-- it suits my personality.

“England is great to visit but we’ve grown as a

family here.

“When the gates swished open, it felt like we

were on a Hollywood film set. We bought this house

because of the view. Having the golf course as your

view when you wake up is heaven. But we didn’t like

the villa that was here so we knocked it down

and built it from scratch.
