to the monumental Roman arch, carved into
the rock and one of the most important
remains of the Roman road which traversed
the Oisans in those days.
It is also worth looking in other surrounding
villages and hamlets like Cuculet, just south of
the Chambon dam, or Mizoën and Le Freney-
d’Oisans to the north.


Easy access
In Les Deux Alpes ski resort itself the village at
1,800m is quieter with fewer shops, less going
on and cheaper property prices. The main
centre is at 1,650m, and here the average price
is around the €3,000/m^2 mark. Even though
the resort covers just 2.5km and everything can
easily be done on foot, there is also a free
shuttle bus service. You may find it helpful to
