CLEMENT GRENIER
The Rennes midfielder fell in the penalty area
under a challenge in a French Cup match
against Orleans. The referee awarded a spot-
kick but he told the official he had not been
fouled and the decision was overturned.

PATRICIO RUBIO
Became the first Chile-born player to score
four goals in a Libertadores Cup match since
Chileans began playing in the tournament
59 years ago. He scored the goals for
Universidad de Concepcion in their 5-4 win
against Sporting Cristal, netting the winner in
the third minute of added time.

JACK GREALISH
After being attacked on the pitch by a
Birmingham City fan, the Aston Villa captain
scored the only goal in his team’s 1-
Championship win at St Andrews.

MOUSSA MAREGA
The Porto striker scored in his sixth successive
Champions League match when he was on the
scoresheet against Roma in the round of 16
second leg tie.

SERGIO RAMOS
The Real Madrid defender was given a two-
match ban in the Champions League after
UEFA ruled that he got himself a yellow card
“on purpose” near the end of Madrid’s Round
of 16, first leg tie away to Ajax.
With the holders 2-1 up after the away
leg, Ramos’ intention was to miss a game and
make sure he was available for both legs of
the quarter-final. Ajax, however, had other
ideas, and won 4-1 in the Bernabeu for a
5-3 aggregate.

TOMAS REPKA
The 45-year-old former West Ham United and
Czech Republic defender was handed two jail
terms, amounting to two years in prison, for
drink driving and fraud. Last year he did
community service after being found guilty
of offering sexual services in the name of his
ex-wife online without her knowledge.

SANFRECCE HIROSHIMA
The J.League club sent a reserve team,
including three teenagers and with no
first XI players, to China to play Guangzhou
Evergrande in the Asian Champions League.
They lost 2-0.
