Coach Brett Brown doesn’t really run a lot of
isolation and pick and roll plays for his guys. Frankly
they don’t have the personell to execute such plays
at a decent rate. Embiid is a force down low and
Simmons is lethal in transition, but the acquisition
of Butler gives them a new dimension to their of-
fense. When they’re looking for a bail-out shot they
can turn to Jimmy, especially in late-game situations
where he thrives.
Brown will have a tough time incorporating
Butler’s talents into his team’s off ense. However, it’s a
welcome problem to have with a solution that could
net some incredible results.
ere are four bonafi de championship threats
in the Eastern Conference: the Boston Celtics and
Toronto Raptors are the two main ones. Boston have
some experienced some struggles early, though their
defense remains elite and holds them in good stead
for a possible Finals appearance. Milwaukee’s early
season form under new coach Mike Budenholzer
has elevated them into the conversation as well.
