ties. According to a source,
the singer needed to make
sure the two of them were
on the same page before she
and the actor walk down the
aisle. “Katy arranged a lunch
so she could set things
straight,” says the source.
“She wanted to reassure
Miranda that while she
would do her best to be agreat stepmom, she knew
the role of mother belonged
to Miranda.” The two
women chatted the day
away, and the Aussie model
even invited Katy to the
launch of her new skincare
line, where they snapped
photos together.

been keeping a diary of everything
that’s happened to me. I’ve been
sober for eight months, and the
therapists urge you to be honest
about yourself,” she revealed. “But
many of the things written about me
have been false, so this book is my
chance to lay myself bare and also
set the record straight.” Sounds like

indsay Lohan’s career has
been hit with another blow.
According to reports, not only
has the actress’ MTV reality
show, Lindsay Lohan’s Beach
Club, been given the axe after just one
season, but her Mykonos hotspot —
which is where the show was filmed
— has also been shut down, leaving
the star scrambling to try to reinvent
herself yet again. “Now that the show is
finished, and her club is out of business,
she’s got to figure out a new path for
herself,” explains an insider, who says
she’s planning to revive her singing
career. Lindsay’s already got the ball
rolling: In late June, she signed with
Casablanca Records, and she’s keeping
her fingers crossed that she can bang
out a couple of chart-topping tunes.
“She’s hoping to pick up where she left
off in her early 20s,” explains the insider.
“She’s always had that survival instinct,
but she’s fallen from grace more than
once. It’s going to take a lot of hard
