t’s been a rough fewmonths
for Britney Spears, who
recently completed a stint at a
California wellness center,
where she’d been seeking
mental health support in the
wake of her dad Jamie’s
medical issues. But through it
all, her mom, Lynne, was by her
side. “Lynne made a real effort
to be there for Britney every
step of the way,” a source tells
OK!, explaining that now the
two are closer than they’ve ever
been. “Britney has always loved
her mom, but at times, Lynne’sseemed a bit distracted by other
family matters. After all,
Britney’s not her only kid. But
after things got tough earlier
this year, Lynne realized she
needed to step it up and be there
for Brit.” In fact, the source says
it was Lynne who suggested the
pair take their recent mother-
daughter getaway to Turks and
Caicos. “They spent the entire
weekend just relaxing on the
beach, playing in the water and
having impromptu seaside
photo shoots. They also did a lot
of yoga together,” shares thesource, adding that the one-on-
one time gave Britney and
Lynne the chance to talk and
enjoy each other’s company.
“They bonded like they never
have before. It was an amazing
trip.” According to the source,
the break was just what the pop
star needed. “Britney’s spirits
are up and she seems to be
doing better, and friends feel
that a lot of it has to do with her
mom,” notes the source.
“Lynne’s unconditional love and
support mean everything to
Britney.”
