MY WEEKEND Yvette Fielding
‘On a Friday I’ll chill out with Karl and the kids.
I have two children, William and Mary, and we love
hanging out together. My son is in a band called
White Eskimo, so if they’re playing a gig I’ll go down
and check them out. He’s never embarrassed that
I’m there. In fact, he called me a “bad-ass mum”
the other day, so I’ll take that.
‘Saturday might be spent working with
Karl on our new Most Haunted YouTube
channel. We’ve started doing live videos
from our home – anything from spooky
seances in our kitchen to ghost hunts
in the grounds. We’ve had ghostly
experiences in our house. My mum
even refused to stay for a while because
she was so frightened. Loads of our
Most Haunted fans had reached out
for more from us, so despite not being
brilliant with technology, the kids helped
us set up the YouTube channel.
‘Sundays are very relaxed. I never
get up before midday. Usually I sit
in bed and eat cake and Wotsits

  • I usually have a bright orange
mouth, but I don’t care. When
I do get up, it’s only to lie
    down again downstairs,
    where I’ll watch films. I don’t
    like dramas or anything
    depressing where people’s
lives are a bit of a mess.
I love a Doris Day film.
    Something chirpy. I’ll
    probably take the dogs
on a long walk, too, purely
to keep the weight off me,
and we’ll all head out for
    a family dinner in the
evening. I’m not a cook, so
you’ll never find me in the
    kitchen getting stuck into a
roast. Then I’ll head to bed
nice and early so I’m ready
    for the week ahead.’

Yvette’s debut book,
Archie The Ghost
Hunter And The Rising,
will be released by
Rudling House on
