Ingredients : Leaf contains 'barbaloin' which has antigrowth action of Mycobacterium
tuberculosis (Zopf ), chrysophanol glycoside,aloe emodin and the aglycone. The
mucilage of the leaves contains glucose, galactose, mannose and galacturonic acid.
Plant contains aloesone and aloesin.
Ailment Treated : Leaf pulp used in dizziness, menstrual flow, asthma, leprosy, jaundice and for boils.
Leaf extract mixed with sugar used in dysentery. Leaf juice is cooling and useful in
fever, spleen and liver diseases. Fresh leaf juice is useful in X-ray burns, eye
problems, cathartic, eczema, falling hair, dermatitis and other skin diseases.
